      Requirements
- PharmD or Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college of Pharmacy
- Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible within 90 days of hire
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) and completion of a Board of Pharmacy approved course in the administration of immunizations or certification obtained within 90 days of hire (if administering immunizations)
- Completion of a Post-Graduate Year 2 Residency (PGY2) or fellowship OR completion of a Post-Graduate Year 1 Residency (PGY-1) and two years of experience as a Clinical Specialist or an equivalent role, including providing pharmaceutical care and performing pharmacotherapeutic monitoring for at least 50% of time in the specialty area OR four years of experience as a Clinical Specialist or an equivalent role, including providing pharmaceutical care and performing pharmacotherapeutic monitoring for at least 50% of time in the specialty area.
Responsibilities
- Routinely and continually provide pharmaceutical care for patients, considering their age and clinical condition.
- Provide general and patient specific drug information to patients, physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals.
- Support Clinical Pharmacists in providing pharmaceutical care to patients by direct interaction and formal educational programs.
- Maintain expertise in areas of practice through continual learning, journal review and other educational activities.
- Educate Clinical Pharmacists, Technicians, Pharmacy Students, Post-Graduate Trainees and other caregivers in Pharmacotherapy within the specialty area.
