Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 3+ years of relevant industry experience - software engineering, partner/sales engineering
- Knowledge of Android development and usage various Software Development Kits, Frameworks and libraries
- Experience integrating with any device level services such as assistants, SDKs, casting etc
- Software development experience in languages and environments such as Java, Native Development Kit (C++) and/or PHP
- Familiarity with the AR/VR product development lifecycle (Unity/Unreal/WebXR etc.)
- Experience to take on complex and ambiguous technical problems
Responsibilities
- Help partners integrate their apps/services on to Meta family of Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality devices including but not limited to Meta Quest headsets and RayBan Meta Glasses
- Use broad range of technical and soft skills to build productive relationships with our partners, and resolve technical and business needs
- Work closely with partner technical teams to identify issues with their apps and recommend possible solutions
- Develop a robust understanding of the various Meta devices, Reality Labs platforms/APIs and underlying implementations used for shipping apps and services
- Identify and highlight missing functionality in our features, apis or services and work closely with product and engineering teams to prioritize, build and verify them on the devices/platforms
- Be a subject matter technical expert, and have strategic influence on external partners and internal teams at Meta
- Work closely with internal teams at Meta to ensure the right features are built to address partner needs
- Ensure great documentation and best practices are created to collaborate with partners
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and partners to design and build apps/integrations/prototypes on Meta devices to showcase current/new/unreleased features and use cases
- Document and share learning within the team upon completion of projects
- Willingness to travel for partner meetings and engagements about 5-10% of the time
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience communication, analytical, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- AR/VR enthusiast and knowledge on latest hardware, news, development Software Development Kits and trends in this space
- Expertise on developing AR/VR apps/experiences on any of the available devices such as virtual reality or mixed reality headsets and/or glasses
