Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Possession of a current Mechanic’s license with airframe and power plant ratings issued by the FAA.
- Three (3) years of experience of repair and maintenance of fixed wing or helicopter aircraft.
- Must possess or have the ability to obtain by the time of hire, a valid Arizona driver’s license.
- Must pass a background review prior to hiring.
Responsibilities
- Performs routine maintenance and repairs on fixed wing and rotorcraft owned by MCSO.
- Conducts periodic inspections and returns office aircraft to service.
- Operates precision measuring devices and special tools.
- Orders, retrieves, and maintains stock of spare parts and supplies for aircraft.
- Maintains aircraft maintenance records.
- Documents aircraft parts and component records.
- Provides and sustains organization of hangar and office area.
- Performs routine fuel samples on office fuel trailers and trucks.
- Maintains valid mechanic’s license with airframe and power plant ratings required by FAA.
- Performs necessary steps to obtain inspection authorization for the FAA within the first three years of employment.
- Participates in on-call calendar to report to work outside regular work hours for unscheduled aircraft maintenance.
- Be present at work site to perform tasks as scheduled and assigned by the Supervisor.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bell Helicopter Factory School Training and/or experience maintaining Bell 407 or other Bell Helicopters.
- Current FAA Inspection Authorization and/or Arizona CDL with Hazmat certification.
