Requirements
- BA/BS Degree Required, 2+ years of sales experience with proven results
- Demonstrated ability to learn and apply technical and scientific product-related information
- Geographic flexibility—able to travel to any geography within the United States on a weekly basis for a period of weeks to months with little advance notice
- Comfortable with change
- Self-starter who can form relationships with new customers quickly
- Valid driver’s license
- Must reside within Zone, and have the ability to travel extensively (upwards of 80% travel or more)
Responsibilities
- Educate targeted healthcare providers on the benefits of product’s FDA-approved indications within assigned territory or territories.
- Travel to assigned territory or territories during the assigned period of coverage for 4-5 days each week.
- Develop and communicate deep scientific understanding of therapeutic areas and competitive products within the Dermatology and Respiratory marketplaces.
- Cultivate and maintain long-term business relationships with key accounts and key opinion leaders within the Dermatology and Respiratory communities.
- Develop and implement a territory specific business plan and utilize all available resources to foster a successful sales environment and deliver on business unit objectives.
- Effectively convey complex clinical and reimbursement product information to key stakeholders in a highly competitive marketplace.
- Execute a customer centric needs based selling approach with targeted Healthcare Providers.
- Collaborate effectively with Thought Leader Liaisons, Area Business Managers, Business Relations Managers, Field Reimbursement Managers, Site Coordinators, Managed Markets, Medical Field and home office teams as required.
- Conduct promotional programs.
- Achieve and exceed assigned monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Attend local, regional and national meetings as directed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in life sciences or business preferred, MBA a plus
- Pharmaceutical sales experience highly preferred with Dermatology, Respiratory or other specialty sales experience a plus
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Strong collaboration skills and proven ability to work across multiple functions
- Demonstrated leadership experience
