Requirements
- Ten or more years of field-oriented experience.
- Prior workover and/or completions rig experience required.
- Self-starter with the experience to identify new projects and move them forward in a timely manner.
- Ability to work with all levels of people external and internal to the organization.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills, and both oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines reliably.
Responsibilities
- Supervise all workover operations on assigned rigs and crews.
- Interface with service providers for all workover business needs.
- Make sure all contract personnel follow Ovintiv safety policy; lead by example and wear all personal protective equipment (PPE); ensure all people on location sign and understand the job safety analysis (JSA).
- Workover Coordination coverage every other weekend.
- Work with other teams on wells-down needing workovers and during handovers when wells are ready to be put back to production.
- Assure safety training is being completed for field personnel.
- Communicate with the safety department and implement changes required; follow up with service rig inspections with the safety department to make sure all items are corrected.
- Follow standard operating procedures provided by the operations and engineering teams.
- Provide input to the manager and/or engineer on workover design or procedure adjustments.
- Understand WellView inputs, reporting and cost tracking abilities.
- Electronically approve field tickets and invoices in Open Ticket and Open Invoice.
- Track rig, job type and rig personnel performance while ensuring a clean and safe operation each and every time.
- Maintain a well control certification and remain knowledgeable on kill procedures.
- Make sure field personnel have the tools/equipment to do their job.
- Know the daily spread costs for each service rig and auxiliary equipment.
- Minimize standby time with good planning and understanding of all logistics.
- Perform environmental, health and safety spot checks and review recent incidents and corrective actions.
- Perform safety stand downs as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional experience in multiple basins preferred as well as experience with various artificial lift equipment, fishing operations and troubleshooting problem wells.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, WellView and asset Panda highly preferred.
