Requirements

  • BSEE or equivalent technical degree
  • Minimum 5+ years relevant experience
  • Deep understanding of WiFi technologies and relevant industry standards
  • Strong hands-on experience with both software and hardware aspects of WLAN systems, with an emphasis on embedded software development (preferred)
  • Experience using Linux SW, debug modules (console) and use of iperf
  • Experience with WiFi-related lab test equipment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with customers, internal teams, and stakeholders
  • Proven ability to drive product solutions in close collaboration with engineering, development, and business teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, customer-oriented approach to technical support

Responsibilities

  • Own customer Engineering relationships
  • Be onsite at customers several times per week
  • Initial travel will be minimal (e.g. training), but could increase with customer base
  • Drive best-in-class technical support at assigned customers
  • Assist customers in debugging test issues and collect test logs for analysis
  • Load SW images onto Broadcom reference HW to replicate customer issues and assist with debug
  • Obtain insight into upcoming customer projects, schedules, and milestones
  • Work closely with Broadcom and customer Engineering during product definition, development, and into production
  • Help drive completion of customer RFPs and RFQs
  • Work in collaboration with sales/account management, and BU engineering and marketing teams
  • Conduct product presentations and demos to customers
  • Assist with product benchmarking and testing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience with both software and hardware aspects of WLAN systems, with an emphasis on embedded software development (preferred)
