Requirements
- Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Windows desktops (e.g. Windows10 and Windows 11)
- Experience deploying Windows workstations and migrating end-user data
- Experience with operating system concepts and implementations
- Experience with supporting desktop / workstation hardware
- Experience with an IT incident/service request system.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain systems support for software, hardware and servers: test, troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical and process issues
- Experience with technical support for users and work with them to resolve existing problems
- Apply hardening security settings
- Active Directory Object Management (i.e. User, computer, groups)
- Manage NTFS and share permissions
- Identify, analyze and remediate technical challenges
- Administer backups and diagnose backup errors
- Create and maintain technical and process documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active Top Secret security clearance
- Bitlocker support
- Windows command line and related utilities
- VMWare VSphere (ESXi, vCenter, etc)
- Automation vis scripting
- Experience with the following Microsoft technologies: MDT/MECM and WSUS
- Experience with engineering applications such as MatLab, Green Hills products, Doors, Subversion, Atlassian Suite
- CompTIA Security+ certification or other industry-recognized certifications relevant to a Windows System Administrator.
