Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent is required
- Must be at a minimum of eighteen (18) years of age
- GWO BST required
- GWO BTT preferred
- NFPA 70 preferred
- Experience in wind turbine maintenance or related electrical/mechanical systems
- Knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems and troubleshooting
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools, schematics, and electrical test equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work on complex machinery
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on wind turbines, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime
- Replace or repair turbine components as needed
- Perform tag lining, tower cleaning, confined space entry/support, LOTO, platform rigging, general maintenance/inspection and other miscellaneous duties as required by customers, facilities, and work scope
- Strictly adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure personal and team safety
- Conduct Job Site Analysis (JSA) and risk assessments before starting tasks
- Maintain compliance with company, industry, and regulatory standards
- Conduct routine inspections of turbines, towers, and equipment to identify potential issues
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, findings, and parts used
- Provide detailed reports on inspections, repairs, and performance issues to supervisors
- Contribute to documentation of best practices for maintenance and repairs
- Work closely with site supervisors and other technicians to prioritize and complete tasks
- Participate in ongoing training programs to advance technical knowledge and certifications
- Share knowledge and mentor less-experienced technicians
Preferred Qualifications
- GWO BTT preferred
- NFPA 70 preferred
- Familiarity with SCADA systems and turbine-specific software is preferred
