Requirements
- Five years or more of experience working in a fiduciary capacity as a wealth advisor, delivering financial planning-led advice for individuals and retirement plan services for business owners
- Proven ability to convey financial advice with empathy, clarity, and confidence
- Experience in serving the financial needs of doctors and their practices is a plus
- Passion for building a better wealth management and retirement plan experiences
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Financial Planning, Finance, Accounting, or Economics
- CFP® certification required
- Strong work ethic, detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and organize workflow
- Self-starter, productive, works well with a team and independently
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of CRM (e.g, Salesforce), MoneyGuidePro, Orion, and Fidelity WealthScape a plus
- Knowledge of retirement plan fiduciary analysis tools like FI360 or similar program preferred
- Insurance licenses (or a desire to obtain them) are a plus
- Willingness to be available when clients are
- Some travel will be required, planned in advance
Responsibilities
- Turn clients into raving fans who love us and are eager to refer us to their doctor friends
- Build deep, meaningful, and impactful relationships with doctor clients
- Assess our client’s overall financial needs, develop clients’ financial plans, and implement proposed strategies across investing, tax, estate, insurance, debt/cash management, and career advisory that optimize the wealth potential of doctors and their practices
- Identify tax and legal considerations related to client scenarios, coordinating with internal CPAs and external partners for specialized expertise in wealth planning
- Provide ERISA 3(21)/3(38) Fiduciary investment advice to clients, including conducting fiduciary review meetings with practice owners, providing Plan Sponsor Fiduciary Training to committee members, and leading participant education and enrollment processes
- Develop a thorough knowledge of the unique financial needs of doctors and maintain a deep understanding of financial planning, retirement plan services, capital markets, and the Financial Services industry
- Lead ongoing client meetings to identify new ways of adding value and to communicate client progress that has been made
- Timely respond to client service requests
- Review activities within the job scope for sufficient controls to prevent errors, fraud, and misstatements of financial results
- Comply with all regulatory requirements, including licensing and registrations
