Requirements

  • Bachelors of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or a closely related engineering discipline)
  • Knowledge of engineering concepts, theories, and practices related to water/wastewater/stormwater
  • Familiarity or experience with AutoCAD
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and adaptable
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Evaluating, planning, and designing projects related to water/wastewater/stormwater treatment and conveyance
  • Performing site visits, water sampling, analyzing water quality, evaluating technologies, troubleshooting processes, and optimizing plant operations
  • Supporting Asset Management projects by utilizing data analytics to perform operational and organizational assessments
  • Conducting condition assessments and evaluating the overall performance of water/wastewater/stormwater facilities
  • Preparing reports, presentations, and other audio-visual materials, and participating in client meetings
  • Ensuring project compliance with all Arcadis practices and quality, health and safety standards
  • Learning, designing, and managing databases, SQL server, cloud-based computing services, and configuration of interactive dashboards
  • Working independently and as part of a team, accommodating collaboration with team members across the U.S. and internationally
  • Learning and using digital tools to enhance customer experience, team and client collaboration, and project delivery

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior work/internship experience at a design or consulting engineering firm or municipal work environment
  • Experience with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and/or Revit
  • EIT certification
