Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or supply chain management.
- Hands-on experience with ERP/WMS systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Manufacturo).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve issues effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage large volumes of data.
- Effective communication skills to work cross-functionally with different teams and departments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google and data analysis tools for inventory tracking and reporting.
- Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced defense startup environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the integrity of inventory data within the ERP/WMS system, ensuring accuracy and real-time visibility for decision-making.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Process inventory adjustments, cycle counts, and reconciliations to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Support ERP inventory module functions, including data entry, troubleshooting, and reporting.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory accuracy, warehouse organization, and overall supply chain efficiency.
- Train end users on inventory processes, ERP system functionalities, and shipping/receiving processes.
- Manage the daily intake of all deliveries, ensuring accurate documentation and data entry.
- Communicate with internal customers and suppliers to resolve discrepancies.
- Verify part traceability and upload necessary documentation.
- Identify and flag any discrepancies in shipments.
- Ensure timely and efficient receiving of incoming packages, inspecting shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Manage both local and international shipments efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations, including expertise in customs clearance procedures.
- Assist with the shipping process, including packing, labeling, and scheduling shipments.
- Assist in order fulfillment and handle returns as needed.
- Handle materials, ensuring proper placement in dedicated drop zones.
- Maintain an organized and clean warehouse environment.
- Assist in general housekeeping and organization of warehouse space to optimize efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, warehousing, and production, to streamline workflows and optimize stock levels.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in inventory management or ERP systems (e.g., CPIM, CSCP, or ERP-specific training).
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies or other process improvement frameworks.
- Knowledge of inventory best practices, including FIFO, cycle counting.
- Knowledge of ITAR, FAR, DFARS, and other government contract requirements related to inventory management and warehouse operations.
