Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with post graduate studies preferred
- Ten-plus years’ experience in personal/commercial lines insurance, financial services, marketing, sales, business, or communication
- Six years’ previous commercial lines underwriting and/or commercial lines sales experience
- Professional designation such as CPCU is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of commercial lines business operations (product management, underwriting, etc.)
- Proven ability to lead large complex, multidimensional programs/initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of management
- Advanced organizational abilities and the capability to manage several diverse tasks concurrently
- High levels of credibility and professionalism in dealings with senior executives and the Board of Directors
Responsibilities
- Developing short and long-term strategic roadmaps of plans, projects and initiatives to streamline and enhance service and processing operations
- Exercising fiscal oversight and responsibility for the Small Commercial and Agribusiness servicing and processing
- Providing leadership, coaching, development, and evaluation of the performance of direct reports
- Responsible for short-term and long-term strategic planning, as well as the implementation and execution of existing strategies for Small Commercial
- Overseeing direction of organizational efficiency, engaging a large team, and driving automation of transactional underwriting-based decisions
- Responsible for the execution of co-sourced offshoring execution of servicing and processing of Small Commercial business
- Responsible for the development and execution of the Small Commercial digital strategy
