Requirements
- 15+ years of progressive experience in finance operations, with a significant portion in leadership roles within technology companies.
- Demonstrated experience managing and scaling high-volume finance operations teams across multiple locations, including international experience.
- Proven ability to build and lead effective teams, fostering a positive work environment and driving employee engagement and retention.
- Strong understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance requirements.
- Experience in establishing and managing shared services or centers of excellence.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact and influence individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to work effectively cross-functionally and build strong collaborative relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and implement efficiency initiatives.
- Experience in developing and implementing career development programs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- Required experience with Salesforce, Zuora, and Zuora CPQ.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership and management for high-volume finance operations teams located in the US and internationally, including deal desk operations, billing and collections.
- Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and timely execution of all finance operations processes.
- Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal controls across all finance operations functions, ensuring systematic adherence and compliance.
- Lead the effort to establish and operationalize reporting of key operating metrics including bookings and other KPIs, driving standardization and efficiency.
- Build, mentor, and develop high-performing teams, fostering a positive and supportive work environment that promotes strong employee relations and retention.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Accounting, Treasury, Legal, Engineering, and Sales, to achieve mutual objectives and ensure seamless financial operations.
- Develop and execute organizational alignment strategies to optimize efficiency, streamline processes, and improve overall finance operations effectiveness.
- Proactively identify potential operational risks and challenges, developing and implementing preventative measures and solutions.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including delivering challenging news with a focus on collaborative problem-solving.
- Continuously evaluate and improve existing finance operations processes and systems, leveraging best practices and technology to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of relevant policies, procedures, and documentation for finance operations.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers related to finance operations.
- Prepare and present regular reports on finance operations performance to senior management.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
