Responsibilities

  • Act as central command for knowledge dissemination amongst your client pod to ensure your team is on its front foot when it comes to understanding the latest in sophisticated and innovative opportunities to separate Horizon’s programmatic thinking and activation from all others. Drive deep insight generation and strategic hypothesis formulation in the development of custom programmatic media plans. Push for continued partner exploration around the best ways to deliver on new audience discovery, optimal value bidding, inventory white space, optimization strategy, and measurement. Demonstrate intellectual curiosity in pursuit of thinking for solutions and activations that are better than how we’ve done things previously.
  • Client thought leadership and executional stewardship for the pod and composition of clients that you’ll oversee such that everyone in your org structure is swimming in the same direction and showing up for Horizon’s clients in a shining example manner. Operationalize case study development and success articulation.
  • Team management, inclusive of capabilities advancement, skill and knowledge development in partnership with the Leads in Horizon programmatic who steer operational adherence and excellence
  • Growth and new business conversations and contributions. Help speed the testing of new theories and initiatives. Maintain critical relationships to ensure Horizon’s biggest clients and internal stakeholders are feeling the smarts and breadth of Horizon programmatic. Preferred Qualifications

  • Significant and demonstrated experience in programmatic media, both from managing a functioning capability, but also shaping the design of a service area in the context of an ever evolving space that presents tremendous opportunity for someone to think creatively about ways to do things that drive the most client performance outcomes and establish recognition and a profitable way to structure a solutions offering.
  • Degree in marketing, econ, statistics, or business preferred.
  • 10+ years of related work experience in programmatic media roles (Agency, Publisher, Ad Tech, Networks, etc.)
  • Strong client-facing voice and experience being a client and team lead
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and advancements, especially in the way of custom algorithms, artificial intelligence and data integrations
  • Ability to train staff on new ad product offerings and platforms
  • Ability to think on one’s feet and extrapolate new concepts, approaches and products by marrying existing solutions with unsolved opportunities
  • Ability to educate and explain the role of Programmatic in service of client’s business objectives
  • An affinity for data and the technical parts of an operation to fearlessly jump in to make sense of what’s real and what’s unhelpful
  • Direct hands-on experience in online advertising environments preferred
  • Experience in operations and operational strategy preferred, paired with an ability to articulate big picture strategy and its connection to pristine execution
  • Trouble-Shooting skills and a penchant for ideas
