Requirements
- MBA in Operations or equivalent academic credentials.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in distribution operations management.
- Experience managing multiple distribution sites.
- Solid understanding of consumer trends in supply chain and logistics.
- Proven ability to develop and implement a successful distribution strategy.
- Demonstrates the ability to improve productivity and predictability through process improvements and team management.
- Strong forecasting, communication, hiring, and productivity management skills.
- Experience leading operational reviews with third-party suppliers and customers, establishing service level agreements, and driving continuous improvements.
- Expertise in utilizing Labor Management Systems and Warehouse Management Systems.
- Exceptional organizational leadership skills, with the ability to coach and develop a high-performing distribution team.
- Experience leading an organization through growth and managing change effectively.
- Strong supply chain management experience in high-paced, high-demand environments.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of team member and company information.
- Detail-oriented with strong accuracy in work execution.
- Proficiency in data driven platforms, including email, word processing, and spreadsheets.
- Ability to travel up to 75% and maintain a valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Aligns the team’s focus with the company’s strategies and initiatives to ensure the success in warehouse and supply chain strategies.
- Maintains a strategic view of logistics and supply chain landscapes, staying current with industry best practices and trends.
- Oversees concept development, strategizing, planning, implementation, and coordination of initiatives within the distribution network.
- Creates and implements plans to achieve long-term strategic goals and objectives that align with company initiatives and future growth.
- Exhibits a mastery of the financials, metrics, and budgets of each business. Analyzes trends and metrics to anticipate needs based on projected business growth and develops solutions, to continuously improve performance.
- Designs and implements multiple, concurrent projects working collaboratively with various COE partner teams in support of business & network objectives.
- Directs the operational strategy and performance of a multi-site distribution network, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and compliance across all locations.
- Owns the P&L for distribution and logistics, driving continuous improvement in cost, productivity, quality, and service.
- Oversees logistics partnerships, third-party distribution providers, and transportation networks to optimize end-to-end delivery performance.
- Champions enterprise-wide system integration and adoption of automation and analytics tools (e.g., LMS, WMS, TMS, Manhattan, & BY).
- Creates and maintains high performing teams and is consistently focused on the team member experience.
- Responsible for overseeing distribution operations, driving efficiencies, and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
- Collaborates with the Executive Management team to define and execute the company’s distribution strategy.
- Leading, guiding, directing, and overseeing the work of other leaders, including directors within the distribution network.
- Builds and maintains strong trust relationships with internal and external leaders and enterprise-wide business partners.
