Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in product/project management, with a focus on observability, monitoring, or related technologies.
  • 5+ years of leading an Engineering teams
  • Strong understanding of observability principles, tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack), and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience with data-driven decision-making and a customer-centric approach to product development.
  • Passion for technology and a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle.
  • Strong Cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure etc.) platform knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Develop product strategy and vision. Develop and articulate the product vision for observability and monitoring products.
  • Define and prioritize product features and enhancements based on customer feedback, market trends, and business objectives.
  • Hire, develop, and support a high performing team. Develop and empower partner teams to solve sophisticated problems and be a strong advocate for open-source technologies and solutions.
  • Perform product planning and execution of the vision. Create and maintain a detailed product roadmap, ensuring alignment with company goals, and customer needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, infrastructure, and security, to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.
  • Manage the product lifecycle from concept to launch and post-launch support.
  • Active and engaged customer and stakeholder engagement. Engage with customers, partners, and stakeholders to gather feedback and understand their pain points and requirements.
  • Conduct regular product demos, training sessions, and webinars to educate customers and stakeholders on new features and functionalities.
  • Define metrics, analytics, and measures aligned to corporate OKRs. Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyze product usage data and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Prepare and present product performance reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Conduct market and industry research. Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive products in the observability space.
