Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related technical field. Graduate degree preferred.
  • 8+ years working with public cloud services providers specifically AWS – as a consumption of platform services and automation and scaling of services
  • Excellent people management and leadership capabilities and ability to effectively prioritize, execute, and delegate tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Experience with advanced platform-based technologies – docker, Kubernetes, cloud foundry and Jenkins as an example
  • Deep understanding of IT financial structures and ability to manage to corporate financial practices and goals, including drivers of process cost
  • Experience working with a wide range of open-source tools and distribution engines
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale initiatives/transformations

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure to support DevOps CI/CD Platform. Manage large scale implementations of Source Code Management solutions (SCM) and Code Management Systems (CMS).
  • Define and implement best practices for branching strategies, deployment strategies, configuration and artifact management tools, in order to ensure projects are released using consistent and repeatable methodologies.
  • Apply SRE principles to improve system reliability, scalability, and performance. Implement operational improvements to ensure high availability, low latency and optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with the development and enabling teams to develop a curated set of tools across the technology portfolio.
  • Leverage cloud architecture, applying site reliability principles, full-stack troubleshooting skills across network, application, security, Identity, OS, Containers, on-prem, and distributed services layers.
  • Ensure security best practices are implemented throughout the infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
  • Develop and implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to proactively identify and address issues.
  • Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and system optimization to meet service level objectives (SLOs).
  • Drive security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests.
  • Collaborate with operations on incident response and lead post-mortem analysis to prevent future occurrences.
