Requirements
- A Doctorate in Vocal Performance
- Equivalent professional experience
- Distinguished record as an active performer
- Demonstrated excellence in and commitment to teaching a broad range of students with diverse skill sets.
Responsibilities
- Teach applied voice at all levels and in all degree programs
- Teach courses in the candidate’s area of expertise (for example, pedagogy, song literature, diction)
- Advise and mentor graduate students
- Build and maintain a national and international profile as performer and teacher
- Contribute broadly to the artistic and educational milieu of a major School of Music at a Research I, flagship university
- Provide service and participate in faculty governance.
