Requirements
- An earned PhD is the minimum requirement for appointment at the rank of assistant professor.
- Evidence of potential for scholarly productivity, high-quality teaching, and high-quality service to the department and the profession is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Teach introductory and advanced undergraduate courses.
- Develop hands-on training opportunities for graduate and undergraduate students in ethnographic methodologies.
- Teach CS2350 Intro Folklore and 4597.03 Global Folklore annually.
- Teach a course in their specialization.
- Participate in the department’s team-taught, yearlong sequence, CS 8100.
