Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and execution of Redwood Credit Union’s three-year strategic plan, ensuring alignment with our Mission, Vision, Values, and Purpose.
- Lead the design, development, and execution of the annual Bold Steps required across each of the three years to ensure that the Strategic Vision, Vision Elements, and Success Measures are sustainably achieved.
- Establish a structured strategic planning process that incorporates input from key stakeholders, ensuring a comprehensive and actionable plan.
- Facilitate leadership discussions to set strategic priorities, allocate resources, and address key organizational challenges.
- Ensure that strategic initiatives are effectively communicated across the organization with clear accountability at every level.
- Drive a culture of accountability by setting clear expectations for leadership and ensuring strategic initiatives are actively managed and executed.
- Utilize a governance framework to track progress on strategic initiatives, ensuring leaders are held accountable for achieving key milestones.
- Oversee a reporting cadence to keep key stakeholders informed on the strategic progress.
- Identify barriers to execution and work cross-functionally to remove obstacles, provide solutions, and keep initiatives on track.
- Conduct recurring monthly reviews of the strategic plan’s progress, making data-driven recommendations for adjustments where needed.
- Serve as a key advisor on strategic priorities and organizational performance.
- Foster a shared vision by aligning leaders across functions and ensuring they understand their role in delivering on the strategic plan.
- Manage communication strategies to engage team members, ensuring they are informed and inspired by the company’s strategic direction.
- Develop strategic planning capabilities across the organization by coaching leaders on best practices in execution.
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and collaboration to ensure the success of the strategic plan.
Preferred Qualifications
- The ideal candidate has a combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, finance, or related field (MBA or equivalent preferred), with a minimum of ten years’ experience in strategic planning, corporate development, or management consulting, and a minimum of three years of progressive leadership experience.
