Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred)
- 10+ years of sales leadership experience in retail, consumer products, or related sectors
- Demonstrated success in leading and developing sales teams with diverse expertise and responsibilities
- Experience in children’s products, juvenile goods, or apparel industries is highly desirable
Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the wholesale sales strategy to drive market share, revenue growth, and profitability across domestic and international channels.
- Build strategic account plans for major wholesale partners, focusing on long-term growth, sell-through velocity, and category expansion.
- Identify and prioritize key growth opportunities across retail partners, distributors and emerging markets to expand brand presence and reach while achieving sales and revenue targets.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams in Marketing, Operations, and Finance to align Skip Hop’s sales goals with broader corporate objectives.
- Leverage sales analytics and customer insights to inform decision-making, drive strategic initiatives, and continually improve performance.
- Stay ahead of market trends and competitive activity to refine strategy and maintain a leadership position within the category.
- Partner with Product Development and Marketing teams to ensure alignment with market and consumer needs.
- Develop and scale a high-performing sales team with a focus on key account management, territory development, and customer success.
- Strengthen relationships with major retail partners, including national retailers, specialty shops, and e-commerce platforms.
- Lead joint business planning with major retail partners, aligning on growth objectives, marketing support, and merchandising strategies.
- Optimizing pricing, margin structures, and trade terms to support profitability while remaining competitive across diverse retail environments.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and agreements with key accounts to drive mutual success.
- Act as the primary point of contact for major retail accounts, ensuring excellent collaboration and service delivery.
- Oversee forecast demand and sales performance in collaboration with finance, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment and consistent delivery of customer commitments.
- Monitor sales metrics and KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Provide regular updates and presentations to executive leadership on sales performance and market trends.
