Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred
- Five years or more in handling revenue cycles, re-engineering workflow design, and AR deficiency management
- 10+ years of exposure in a finance and/or billing and collection environment
- Knowledge of wide-scale revenue cycle process improvements with quantified results
- Experience with improving service level agreements and rectifying system issues
Responsibilities
- Ensures compliance with PharMerica, BrightSpring, Federal, State and local laws and regulations regarding billing and collection events
- Recruits, hires, and trains staff; Evaluates staff performance as well as recommends or initiates promotions, transfers and disciplinary actions
- Monitors progress of assigned staff by incorporating professional development, training plans, and providing effective coaching
- Reviews collection reports in order to determine and evaluate the effectiveness of current policies in place
- Recommends and creates overall financial policies and programs to administer the financial or business aspect of patient services
- Provides analysis to CEO/CFO on current and projected condition of cash flow, accounts receivable, required reserves, and other transactions or events
- Works with General Council and the Chief Compliance Officer to certify compliance with government program regulations for coding and billing services
- Facilitates all communication between the business office centers and operational leaders
- Establishes quality assurance practices to ensure department activity meets quality standards
- Maintains annual departmental budgets and revenue cycle enhancements
- Creates and implements all department policy and procedures
- Assists in the monthly revenue close procedures
