Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or business discipline
  • 15+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech commercial experience, with a strong focus in oncology
  • 8+ years in marketing or strategic commercial roles, including new product planning and/or global brand leadership
  • Proven track record in leading or supporting successful U.S. product launches, including strategic planning, execution, and post-launch optimization
  • Demonstrated success in developing global product strategies and influencing development decisions
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and operate effectively in matrixed organizations
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and communication skills
  • Experience leading teams and managing senior stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Develop and continuously refine the global commercial strategy across key assets in Moderna’s oncology pipeline, incorporating scientific differentiation, competitive insights, market shaping, and stakeholder needs
  • Lead commercial input into pre-clinical research concepts and early and late clinical development plans, target product profile (TPP) creation and alignment, and indication prioritization in collaboration with R&D, Medical, and Market Access teams
  • Shape go-to-market strategies and models and positioning for assets, ensuring alignment across brand, customer, and access perspectives
  • Translate market and customer insights and data into clear commercial implications and action plans
  • Serve as the commercial voice on global program teams and governance bodies for oncology assets
  • Partner with Medical Affairs to co-create disease education and scientific platform strategies
  • Partner with Market Access to ensure the global strategy and evidence generation plan supports value demonstration and payer needs
  • Drive scenario planning, opportunity assessments, and revenue potential modeling to inform portfolio strategy and investment decisions
  • Establish core marketing capabilities, frameworks, and ways of working for oncology at Moderna
  • Collaborate with regional commercial leaders to enable successful launch planning through global strategy, core positioning, and upstream alignment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Leadership roles in multiple US launches in specialty and advanced therapeutic categories
  • Experience in immuno-oncology, cancer vaccines, or innovative oncology platforms
  • Proven global launch experience for oncology therapeutics or vaccines
  • Expertise in lifecycle management and portfolio strategy
  • Ability to thrive in high-growth, fast-paced environments
  • Deep understanding of the oncology stakeholder landscape, including payers, healthcare professionals, and patients
