Requirements
- Comfortable in all aspects of veterinary patient care, from basic patient restraint to advanced anesthesia and surgical cases
- Experience in surgical and dental assistance, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, routine medical care, handling medical records, anesthesia, patient handling, and patient monitoring
- Highly motivated, energetic, and compassionate
- Team player who keeps the best interest of patients in mind by providing quality care and excellent customer service
Responsibilities
- Divides time between on the floor technician duties and implicit leadership role
- Identifies as the supervisor, role model, and ‘go to person’ for resolving technical issues
- Translates management’s vision into clear, concise actions that support management perspectives
- Guides technician staff to meet performance standards
- Develops relationships with other clinic members to support team coexistence and cohesiveness
