Requirements
- Must have Systems Administration experience
- Good written, verbal, and interpersonal skills required; ability to interact with all levels of staff including management
- Professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic
- Must have Professional Venue Audio, Video and Lighting Experience
- Independent individual with the ability to carry out tasks with minimal supervision and instruction
- Some Experienced with Windows, Linux, and Mac Operating Systems
- Proficiency with VMIX and broadcast experience with technical documentation of an Entertainment Venue environment including network and server rack diagrams, wiring diagrams, DANTE Routing, Streaming Platform Management, subnet maps, and IP address management
- Domains and workgroups skills including understanding of Group Policies, Network Shares, and User Profiles
- Experienced with Networked devices such as printers and storage
- Ability to understand computer network concepts such as TCP/IP, client/server model, 802.x
- Ability to work with hand tools, soldering irons, power tools, terminate cable connections, etc…
- Ability to use diagnostic tools such as traceroute, ping, and snooping
- Knowledge of Citrix, Ross, Tessera, Dashboard
- Knowledge of managed network peripherals including firewalls, access points, wireless backhauls, and routers desired with strong console and implementation skills
- Experience with electronic testing equipment such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes and network analyzers a plus
- Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and solve problems on their own using resources such as forums and knowledgebase
- Requires ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities
- Oversee the comprehensive lifecycle of all venue-specific audio, visual, and lighting (AVL) systems, including design, installation, configuration, meticulous operation, preventative maintenance, and expert troubleshooting
- Develop, implement, and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all AVL equipment usage, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, operational consistency, and the achievement of optimal performance standards
- Conduct regular, thorough preventative maintenance schedules and inventory audits for all AVL assets
- Guarantee that all technical systems are impeccably show-ready for every event, performing rigorous pre-event checks, system calibrations, and functional tests
- Collaborate extensively with event organizers, diverse clients, production managers, and internal operational teams to meticulously define technical requirements, design optimal event layouts (including stage, AVL, and power distribution), and develop comprehensive technical execution plans
- Assist in Directing, supervising and mentoring technical crews—comprising in-house staff, part-time/freelance technicians, and specialized vendor personnel—during all phases of event setup, critical rehearsals, live operation, and post-event strike
- Operate key AVL systems with expertise during events as required, or ensure proficient operation by appropriately assigned staff, acting as the ultimate decision-maker and troubleshooter for any emergent technical issues when necessary
- Manage the diverse technical aspects of a wide array of events, including large-scale concerts, corporate meetings and conferences, trade shows, esports competitions, and unique special events, adapting technical setups to meet the specific and often complex needs of each event
- Design and deliver comprehensive training programs for staff on advanced equipment operation, critical safety protocols, and venue-specific technical procedures to ensure a highly skilled and safety-conscious team
- Proactively manage and nurture relationships alongside Production Manager and Director of Operations with AVL equipment suppliers, rental houses, and specialized service providers
- Assist with procurement lifecycle for new AVL equipment, essential supplies, and technical services
- Maintain a meticulously accurate and up-to-date inventory of all venue-owned AVL equipment, critical spare parts, and essential consumables
- Lead and manage multifaceted projects related to AVL system upgrades, the integration of new and emerging technologies, and significant infrastructure improvements
- Ensure all technology projects are completed on schedule, within the allocated budget, and to the highest required quality standards, meeting or exceeding all performance specifications
- Work in close partnership with the Director of Operations, Production Manager, Event Managers, Sales team, IT Manager, and other internal departments to ensure cohesive, integrated planning and flawless execution of all event technology components
- Serve as a technical advisor and consultant to clients, diligently working to understand their event objectives and translating these into effective, innovative, and budget-conscious AVL solutions
- Provide critical assistance to the Director of Operations in the development and meticulous management of budgets for AVL operations, ongoing maintenance, strategic capital expenditures, and event-specific technical costs
- Diligently monitor departmental expenses, proactively identify potential cost-saving opportunities, and ensure the highly efficient use of all resources without compromising the quality, safety, or integrity of event productions
- Maintain a proactive stance in staying current with rapid advancements in AVL technology, evolving event production techniques, and emerging industry best practices
- Ensure all AVL operations strictly adhere to relevant safety standards, industry regulations, and established venue policies
Preferred Qualifications
- CCNA, and MSSA not required but a plus
- Experience with multi-tier Point of Sale system such as Quest Venue, NCR, Micros, etc.
- Hands on skills with computer networking such as running, terminating, and testing Cat 5/6 cable, fiber, etc…
