Requirements
- General understanding of financial concepts such as valuation methods, financial modeling, and due diligence
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, with general knowledge of finance
- Able to handle a heavy workload with accuracy and promptness
- Passion for making a positive impact through private capital markets
- Highly motivated, intelligent self-starter with the ability to work independently and as a member of the team with minimal direction
- Able to determine priorities, plan, organize, and follow-through on assignments while providing consistent top-quality output
- Able to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in written form with high accuracy and attention to detail
- Open-minded, logical, determined, and highly ethical partnered with passion, creativity, intellectual curiosity, and financial analysis skills
Responsibilities
- Assist with portfolio operations & development, including compliance submissions, data room updates, capital summaries, process documentation, and capital calls
- Coordinate and support Managing Partners, Team members, and internal colleagues on an as needed basis
- Manage financial models and capitalization tables to project the potential returns and risks associated with investments
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and market developments
- Maintain databases for deal flow and external contacts
- Produce quarterly reports with updated financials, company reporting, and metrics
- Plan Annual Meeting and other events as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in a role that required astute analysis and organization
- 1+ years of industry experience preferred (for example, previously worked at a start-up, venture firm, investment bank, or within asset management)
- Undergraduate degree required; preference for science, engineering, economics, or business programs
- In-person position, with willingness to travel up to 10% of time
