Used Car Acquisition Specialist

High school diploma or equivalent required
College degree preferred
Proven experience in the automotive industry, preferably in vehicle acquisition or sales
Proven experience in vehicle appraisal, sales, or acquisition, preferably in the automotive industry
In-depth knowledge of various makes and models of used vehicles
Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet acquisition targets
Proficiency in using various online platforms and automotive software
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Proactively identify and contact private sellers of used vehicles through various online platforms, referrals, and other innovative methods
Evaluate potential acquisitions through thorough vehicle inspections, test drives, and title verification
Accurately appraise vehicles based on market conditions, condition, mileage, and features to determine fair purchase prices
Negotiate purchase terms with sellers to acquire vehicles at competitive prices while maintaining profitability goals
Manage all necessary paperwork for vehicle acquisitions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all legal and company policies
Coordinate vehicle transportation and delivery to our dealership location
Maintain comprehensive records of all acquisition activities and communicate regularly with management on progress and market trends
Build and maintain strong relationships with potential sellers and industry contacts
Stay informed about current market trends, vehicle models, and pricing strategies
