Requirements
- Excellent clinical and communication skills
- Practiced at least 2 of the last 5 years in an outpatient primary or urgent care setting seeing all ages (0+)
- Completed a Family Medicine or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics residency program in the last 5 years
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
- Ability to work at least 3 holidays a year
- Ability to work two full weekends per month (4 shifts)
- Ability to work evenings
- State licensed in Maryland, obtained by your One Medical start date
Responsibilities
- Managing patients’ acute care concerns
- Handling common concerns and procedures such as STI diagnosis and treatment, staple removal, suture removal, pelvic exams, I&Ds, IVs, nebulizer treatment, URIs, coughs, bronchitis, UTIs, chest pain, abdominal pain, psychiatry screening and stabilization
- Maintaining evidence-based and current knowledge as it relates to urgent care practice and procedures as well as basic proficiency in primary care topics (hypertension, diabetes, depression/anxiety)
- Comfortable with initial management of acute changes in chronic conditions
- Documentation of physical exam, procedures and in-office medications/prescriptions
