Underwriter II

Undergraduate degree preferred
2+ years relevant experience
Intermediate knowledge on credit products, end-to-end credit processes and systems for own specialized area
Ability to execute on routine requests
Identifies key operational / reporting / process issues for own area
Requires general understanding of the overall function and/or businesses supported
Requires some understanding of complexity in operational / reporting / process and/or analysis function

Review, analyze and evaluate credit applications
Authorize credit for customers within designated discretionary lending limits
Provide credit support / solutions / recommendations and advice through the credit adjudication process
Ensure all credit decisions (approval / decline) within assigned limits are fulfilled
Handle customer concerns / issues appropriately and resolve in a timely manner
Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the customer experience
Prioritize and manage own daily workload to meet SLA requirements
Make well rationalized credit decisions within established standards and limits
Ensure credit underwriting / adjudication is completed accurately and properly
Protect the interests of the organization – identify and manage risks
Participate fully as a member of the team
Support the team by continuously enhancing knowledge / expertise in own area
Keep current on emerging trends/ developments and grow knowledge of the business
