Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Robotics, Aviation, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Knowledge of drone platforms (multirotor, fixed-wing), flight controllers, and payload integration
- Familiarity with mission planning software, telemetry systems, and GNSS/RTK
- Understanding of 5G standards, architectures, and call flows
- Comfortable using diagnostic tools and working with embedded systems or Linux-based interfaces
- FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate (preferred or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in the field
Responsibilities
- Deploy and operate drones in field conditions for inspection, surveillance, mapping, or R&D missions
- Conduct pre-flight and post-flight checks, perform system calibrations, and ensure overall airworthiness
- Maintain and troubleshoot drone hardware, firmware, and communication links (5G, Wi-Fi, RF)
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate new payloads, sensors, and software features
- Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, safety protocols, and mission-specific standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Travel to remote locations for field trials, customer demonstrations, and pilot projects
Preferred Qualifications
