Requirements
- Certified Tumor Registrar – National Cancer Registry Assoc.
- 2 years of relevant work experience
- High School Diploma or GED
Responsibilities
- Identify, compile and abstract all diagnosed and/or treated malignancies including reportable benign tumors in compliance with NCRA specifications.
- Maintain, update, and implement annually the Policy & Procedure Cancer Registry Manual.
- Participate in the Rapid Quality Reporting System (RQRS) with submission of all eligible cases.
- Maintain an 80% follow-up rate from the cancer registry reference date on all eligible analytic cases.
- Annually complete data submission for all requested analytic cases to the NCDB.
- Assist the Cancer Program Coordinator in developing and publishing the Annual Cancer Report.
- Submit all requested information for cases identified as special studies by the ACoS.
- Perform life-time patient follow-up to provide cancer incidence, treatment, and outcome information.
- Submit required data to regulatory and accreditation organizations to maintain compliance.
- Compile requests for data and statistics from the Cancer Registry for facility planning.
