Requirements

• Associates’ degree in Accounting or a related field
• 1 – 2 years’ experience in accounts payable and/or treasury
• High degree of proficiency with data entry functions
• Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
• Proficient in 10-key by touch
• Ability to maintain discretion and confidential information
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook, and the ability to learn other basic computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Reviews all accounts payable invoices for appropriate documentation and approval.
• Routes invoices for review and approval.
• Codes and enters accounts payable invoices into the computer system.
• Reconciles vendor statements and resolves discrepancies.
• Researches and answers vendor inquiries.
• Maintains all accounts payable reports, spreadsheets and corporate account payable files.
• Processes daily and/or weekly payment runs.
• Ensures vendor file integrity in all instances, including properly and accurately recording and tracking various withholding taxes, deductions, and payments.
• Assists in the audit process by providing details and information as requested.
• Maintains all accounting data in accordance with company and department policy and procedures.
• Contributes to the development and maintenance of the internal control system.
• Reconciles previous day cash transactions and resolves discrepancies.
• Manages daily and monthly bank statements.
• Assists with wire transfers, ACH transactions, and internal transfers.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with financial institutions.
• Responsible for ensuring check deposits.
• Assists in managing user entitlements in banking platforms.
• Other duties as assigned.
