Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Previous experience in transportation Management, preferably with a related industry
- Management or Supervisory experience is strongly preferred
- Thorough knowledge of material handling equipment and traffic management
- A good working knowledge of government regulations, DOT, and OSHA regarding transportation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- A working knowledge of Lytx, Geotab and Roadnet experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Manage a cohesive, collaborative team, including supervisors, dispatchers, clerks, routers, and drivers
- Maximize the use of our transportation options: box trucks, tractors, and trailers
- Manage relationships with vendors
- Ensure all drivers comply with company, federal, state, and local laws and regulations
- Ensure mandatory reporting (Hut, IFTA) is done on time and accurately
- Develop KPIs for transportation staff’s performance
- Develop continuous improvement plans for key metrics
Preferred Qualifications
- A working knowledge of Lytx, Geotab and Roadnet experience is a plus
