Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or similar field.
  • Between 8 to 10+ years of experience in high voltage (HVDC preferred), infrastructure including transmission lines, substations and switch yards, power lines sector – especially in bidding processes.
  • Willingness to travel up to 45% as per projects/opportunities needs.
  • High level of MS Office suite, including MS Excel functions and macros.
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills, strategic vision, push to make things happen and hunger to succeed.
  • Must be able to multitask, problem solving, and implement innovative processes within a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of Spanish preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work onsite in the Austin office.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Management team to develop and implement a comprehensive Transmission strategy in Ferrovial Energy’s geographic areas.
  • Coordinate and supervise the technical and economic analysis of the offers presented by the Company, ensuring the provision of data on future costs and income related to the construction, operation and maintenance of assets, to determine the suitability of the investment / divestment for the objectives of the Company’s business.
  • Coordinate and supervise the tasks carried out or subcontracted to external parties aimed at preparing estimates of demand, income, costs and investments in infrastructure of the offers presented by the division.
  • Establish and maintain contacts with those responsible for the assets in the matter for which they are responsible in order to ensure the bi-directional exchange of information and thus improve the profitability of the assets.
  • Analysis of specific projects in assets where a technical view of the shareholders is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Estimating of infrastructure needs, building budgets.
  • RFP response experience.
  • Management of assets under operation.
  • Estimation of investment projects.
  • Long-term income and cost forecast.
  • Construction of transmission infrastructure, involving permitting, environmental and rights of way processes, and EPC contracts.
  • Experience in power line concessions and / or business consulting will be valued.
  • Experience in projects in Europe and Australia is preferred but not required.
  • Stakeholder management.
