Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Engineering, or technical field.
- Minimum 10+ years relevant experience; demonstrated leadership and management experience with an understanding of the dynamics of interpersonal relationships.
- 5+ years’ experience creating and executing continuous improvement and change management activities that drive organizational results and change.
- Very strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to use fact-based and well-thought-out arguments to challenge all levels or change behavior/techniques as required.
- Positive attitude and the ability to maintain professional behavior in challenging situations.
- Experience analyzing trends, drawing conclusions and influencing data driven decisions to leadership. (analyze, recommend, sell).
- Prior experience leading change and or continuous improvement initiatives, projects.
- Experience working within an industrial setting preferred.
- Ability to influence across the organization to drive accountability and follow up for results.
- Capable of driving consensus among leadership to enable transformation and advance strategic priorities.
- Understanding of basic problem-solving techniques, plant processes, and the essentials behind metrics and KPIs.
- Proficiency in facilitating discussions and identifying root causes of problems with all levels of the organization.
- Adaptable with the ability to perform at a high level within a highly autonomous environment.
Responsibilities
- Work with the members of a workstream to identify and capture opportunities for transformation.
- Prioritize and complete improvement opportunities with the Transformation team and workstream personnel, ensuring alignment with key business objectives. Be engaged with the workstreams to optimize overall North American Transformation.
- Assist with the workstream’s project portfolio, reporting status and initiative benefits.
- Act as change leader to the workstreams. Remove barriers and assist in managing risks to ensure completion of transformation initiative milestones.
- Escalate issues as required.
- Applies change management process, practices and methodologies consistently.
- Through formal assessment (such as, gap assessments) and informal visits, ensure that best practices are shared, and key learnings incorporated.
- Act as the liaison between workstreams.
- Monitors dependencies across multiple inter-related projects.
- Teach and mentor employees to optimize a workstream’s ability to effectively implement transformation initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal training in Change Management and Continuous Improvement (i.e., Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Workout, SCRUM) is an asset, but not required.
