Requirements

  • Working knowledge of derivatives markets, especially option pricing methodologies, CBOE rules, policies and trading floor procedures.
  • Working knowledge in one or more of the following areas preferred: securities or, securities or commodities futures trading with experience in options, and analytical research.
  • Basic level skills in MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and other business related software.
  • Ability to evaluate, analyze, and summarize data and facts; establishes logical connections; forms sound decisions based on analysis.
  • Organizes and prioritizes tasks and work assignments; completes multiple tasks simultaneously with accuracy and quality; adjust to changes in priorities and situations; completes work under pressure; and meets deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a presence in the Index and Equity option trading crowds, on trading days, during regular trading hours. Monitor and document possible violations of Exchange Rules including rules governing the trading floor and of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. Research issues, evaluate and analyze evidence to recommend appropriate disposition of Alerts to management for review.
  • Assist in the maintenance of internal policies and procedures related to the Cboe Surveillance Program.
  • Stay apprised of industry concepts and events to contribute in the creation of new surveillance concepts, operational methodologies, and surveillance techniques that address the Regulatory program’s concerns.
  • Collaborate with various Cboe teams, particularly the regulatory development and investigation teams, to further enhance the Regulatory Program.
  • Build and maintain an understanding of the Cboe Exchanges’ regulatory environment, relevant rules and regulations, technologies and systems, processes and operational methodologies, investigative and examination techniques.
  • Actively participate in team projects, discussions and problem solving.
  • Actively participate in training/continuing education opportunities and meetings.
  • Perform other related duties as required or requested.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3-6 years or more of options trading experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, computer science preferred, or relevant industry experience.
