Requirements
- HS diploma or GED required.
- At least 3 years of Machine Shop experience OR at least 2 years as a Tool Designer OR equivalent technical education and experience
- Quality conscious, mechanical aptitude, and good dexterity
Responsibilities
- Design molds, dies, process tooling jigs, and fixtures.
- Check own and others’ tool drawings for usability and accuracy.
- Select and specify proper materials suited to job.
- Assist in implementing new designs into production.
- Analyze production problems and recommend tooling and changes to correct problems.
- Maintain drawing files and configuration control.
- Assist in training / cross training of others.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement Process and assist TEAMs with tooling improvements.
- Work with minimal supervision.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
