Requirements

  • A 4-year college degree in Biological Sciences or a related discipline is preferred.
  • 2+ years of customer-facing experience within pharmaceutical, diagnostic, medical device, biotech, or healthcare settings is required.
  • Tissue Sample Procurement experience is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; experience with Salesforce (CRM) is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (phone and email) with high computer literacy.
  • Multitasking, dependability, self-discipline, sound judgment, and independence are necessary.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to professionally handle client-facing escalations.
  • Flexibility regarding working hours, including availability to work during company holidays based on Client and Company needs.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Tissue Procurement Specialist, communicating effectively via phone and email with partner laboratory teams to manage sample and document requests, resolve order issues, and coordinate shipping and receipt processes.
  • Support tissue retrieval efforts within your assigned territory by promptly resolving cases with a proactive sense of urgency.
  • Foster and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with laboratory personnel, sales representatives, and internal stakeholders to enhance collaboration and efficiency.
  • Collaborate seamlessly within a team environment, contributing to departmental and company-wide objectives.
  • Accurately document all communications, including emails, faxes, phone calls, and follow-up activities, ensuring clarity and precision.
  • Comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to Tissue Procurement to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Input data and upload documentation accurately into Salesforce.com and LIMS systems.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with external clients, patients, and internal team members at all levels.
  • Assist with additional administrative tasks as needed to support operational effectiveness.
  • Utilize Salesforce (CRM) and other integrated software platforms to communicate with clients, patients, and sales teams.
  • Meet and exceed team and individual performance targets, tracking metrics related to case closures and turnaround times.
  • Apply problem-solving skills to address customer concerns and manage escalated situations with professionalism.
  • Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Work hours and days may vary based on operational requirements; some physical effort (up to 25 pounds) may be required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience interpreting Pathology/Cytology Reports and terminology.
  • Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMs).
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is an asset.
