Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or 15+ years of related experience
  • Deep understanding and technical knowledge of HVAC systems, components, installation processes, and industry standards is crucial
  • 15+ years of overall experience, with a minimum of 10+ years in complete life cycle product design, development, and service standards
  • Strong background in HVAC/R systems design, familiarity with refrigerant standards and product applications, including cooling towers for HVAC/R and process cooling
  • Proven experience in HVAC/R applications in multiple industrial sectors
  • Awareness of global regulatory requirements, certifications, and engineering standards, including but not limited to EPA, ASHRAE, CTI (Cooling Tower Institute), NEC, and NFPA
  • Expertise in mechanical and thermal engineering systems, including electro-mechanical systems
  • Develop and maintain the highest levels of development practices, including technical design, solution development, systems configuration, test documentation and execution, issue identification and resolution, quality assurance, and predictability
  • Lead technical teams focusing on customer satisfaction, talent development, and people management
  • Develop and manage project budgets and resource plans to meet business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for driving a Safety culture, holding teams accountable for working safely, and providing a safe working environment
  • Accountable for the overall HVAC/R (Temperature Control) product line specifications, working with the Product Line Managers to ensure they represent our sales team’s customer applications while ensuring equipment reliability and performance
  • Lead all aspects of technical governance, including design signoff, service, operational, and safety standards, and implement change control
  • Launch New Product Development Programs on time, maintaining performance, cost, quality, and reliability standards
  • Work with Product Line Managers to assist with developing and implementing an ambitious growth strategy for the HVAC/R Portfolio
  • Drive innovation and sustainability initiatives for HVAC/R products, including working with the ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) team to support F-Gas initiatives
  • Effectively manage global engagement with internal departments and external partners around HVAC/R products and applications
  • Manage team budgets and assist the business in planning for CAPEX/OPEX investments
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to address issues
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in Temperature control products and standards
  • Foster continuous process improvement by utilizing tools and standard methodologies
  • Build and lead a high-performance team of engaged and motivated professionals to support ongoing business growth
  • Work with the Learning & Development team to ensure training programs encompass current technology and techniques for current and new products to build a highly skilled workforce
  • Up to 25% travel
