Telemetry Technician

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED-Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS)-Required
• Successfully complete basic EKG training at the first offering and 16 hours of 12-lead EKG training within 3 months of hire-Required
• Certification by the State as Certified Medical Assistant Certified Nurse Assistant Licensed Paramedic Licensed LPN with EKG training or a RN nursing student with EKG training required in WI.

Responsibilities

• Observe telemetry monitors
• Work collaboratively with nursing staff to ensure consistent patient safety
• React to the unique needs of each patient

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year Telemetry experience-Preferred
• 2 years’ experience in the medical field-Preferred
• Certification in cardiac technology by the American Cardiology Association-Preferred
• Certification by the State as Certified Medical Assistant Certified Nurse Assistant Licensed Paramedic Licensed LPN with EKG training or a RN nursing student with EKG training preferred in IL.
