Requirements
- Associate’s degree or higher in IT or Cybersecurity (preferred)
- 2 years of experience required, 5 years preferred
- Prior experience within DoD networks
- Avaya Certified Support Specialist (ACSS) or equivalent
- Nortel Meridian System Administration or equivalent
- IAT Level II (per DoD 8570.01-M)
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or equivalent
- Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
- Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level
- US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain government-owned telephony switches (PBX), including Avaya Systems CM4.0
- Troubleshooting and repair of switch issues
- Software updates and patching
- Installation and configuration of switch hardware
- Daily operation monitoring
- Support for voicemail systems and IPE (Remote Intelligent Peripheral Equipment)
- Utilize company vehicle to travel to remote locations weekly
- Ensure switch systems remain fully operational and compliant with DoD/Navy standards
- Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of experience preferred
- Associate’s degree or higher in IT or Cybersecurity preferred
