Requirements
- 1 + years of experience as a Medical Assistant
- High School diploma or GED
Responsibilities
- Observing patients condition, reporting abnormal conditions to staff nurse and recording appropriate documentation in patient’s records.
- Measure and record patients height and weight, may perform routine vision and hearing examinations, pulse and blood pressure readings.
- Draws blood from patients and/or performs finger sticks and obtains other specimens as requested by physician or registered nurse.
- Assists with diagnostic procedures using aseptic principles in creating and maintaining a sterile field during procedures.
- Uses technical skills regarding positioning, wound care, and dressings.
- Maintaining stock items for examination and blood drawing rooms, forms used by clinical staff, etc.
- Performs other job-related duties as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate of a State and/or Nationally accredited Medical Associate Program
- Certification as a Medical Assistant
- Experience working within an OBGYN woman’s healthcare setting.
