Requirements

  • Electronics training equivalent to two (2) years of technical trade or military technical school. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • 5+ years of directly applicable work experience in calibration equipment.
  • Understanding of calibration principles and procedures.
  • Experience with calibration tools and equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and industry standards.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Must have experience working on electronic assemblies (as opposed to components).
  • Experience in analog and/or power conversion products.
  • Good understanding of function and operation of Power Supply design topologies.
  • Familiar with Electronic Power Converter design to the extent of identifying circuit performance issue and partnering with a design engineer to resolve.
  • Must be proficient in reading test requirements and accurately documenting test issues.
  • Knowledge of soldering techniques, color codes and component identification.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and raw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Positive attitude and excellent work ethic, quick learner, and self-starter.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct calibration and adjustment procedures on equipment and instruments to guarantee accuracy and precision.
  • Perform tests, make necessary adjustments, and troubleshoot equipment to ensure it meets required standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of calibration activities, including results, adjustments, and equipment status.
  • Perform routine maintenance on calibration equipment to ensure reliability and accuracy.
  • Ensure that all calibrated equipment meets industry regulations, standards, and quality requirements (such as ISO).
  • Identify and resolve issues that affect equipment accuracy and functionality.
  • Work with engineers, quality control personnel, or other relevant staff to communicate calibration issues and implement necessary solutions.
  • Perform set-up and execution of internal and external laboratory environmental qualification testing.
  • Using basic Engineering principles, develop or direct the setup of test equipment and the appropriate testing on new or experimental units.
  • Analyze and summarize test results.
  • Perform electronic assembly routine tasks such as cutting wire to specified size, stripping, tinning, or bending wire parts, wiring, soldering, and fastening terminal connections.
  • Assemble and/or install various electrical electronic components to self-designed breadboard assemblies.
  • Requires light supervision only to perform duties. Initiative and independent work execution required.
