Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- One year of industrial training and three months related experience
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide and convert in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, with ability to compute percent
- Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision
- Export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology
Responsibilities
- Maintenance, setup, and operation of vacuum melters and tube furnaces
- Follow production orders and instructions and weigh and prepare materials for vacuum melting
- Work with the Process Engineer to develop procedures for vacuum melting new materials
- Clean and evaluate vacuum melted parts
- Maintain equipment and perform preventive maintenance as scheduled
