Requirements

  • Associate’s / Vocational Degree or equivalent Military Calibration background (OR High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 2 years of Calibration experience and/or 3 years in production or services environment)
  • Ability to work overtime

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for accurate maintenance for all business systems (Procurement/Inventory Management/etc.)
  • Responsible for the maintaining appropriate Kanban levels for varying stages of our equipment process, consumables, and misc. equipment
  • Responsible for prepping and functional checks on returned precision test and misc. equipment per OJT and procedures
  • Responsible pack and ship instrumentation and consumables for kitting and for the execution of order fulfilment
  • Facilitation of all receivables and associated related processes (including equipment returns)
  • Properly identifies and red tags items in need of repair (inclusive of the dispositioning of)
  • Completes basic repair and maintenance activities on equipment and may disassemble instrument or device to determine cause of defective operation and notify supervisory personnel of findings.
  • Active engagement in routine housekeeping at facility and 5S program maintenance/initiatives
  • Assists with equipment builds, kitting and retro’s
  • Selects and installs accessories such as adapters, indicating gauges, or holding devices on test or calibration fixture, and connects the instrument or device to a lab primary standard.
  • Read quality control manual and testing specifications to obtain data to test or calibrate specific devices
  • Sets controls to regulate factors such as current flow, timing cycle, pressure, temperature or vacuum according to specifications and activates test of calibration equipment.
  • Observes reading on meters and gauges and other displays and performance of device or instrument to identify functional defects and determine calibration requirements.
  • Adjusts calibration mechanisms to obtain specified operational performance of device or instrument, using hand tools and accurate measuring and calibrating instruments and equipment.
  • Rejects malfunctioning devices and routes devices to specified department for rework or salvaging of parts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft Office Proficiency, particularly Excel
  • Excellent mechanical and electrical skills
  • Familiarity with calibration equipment and processes for pressure, temperature and electrical
  • Instrumentation training in: Control systems, industrial environments, calibration facilities and processes
  • Familiar with mA and mV measurements
