Requirements
- Strong ability to translate technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Experience with proposal management software (e.g., Deltek Vantagepoint) is a plus.
- Familiarity with APMP (Association of Proposal Management Professionals) best practices is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Write, edit, and format technical content for Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), and Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Ensure proposals effectively communicate the company’s value proposition, capabilities, and experience.
- Work closely with the Pursuit Analyst and Business Development teams to gather and structure proposal content.
- Develop and maintain internal and external documents, including white papers, case studies, project descriptions, and best practice guides.
- Translate complex technical information into reader-friendly content for clients, stakeholders, and non-technical audiences.
- Standardize and improve document templates, ensuring consistency in formatting, tone, and branding.
- Assist in the creation of marketing collateral, such as brochures, presentations, website content, and thought leadership articles.
- Support executive leadership with written materials for industry conferences, public speaking engagements, and client meetings.
- Collaborate with graphic designers and marketing teams to enhance visual appeal and engagement of written materials.
- Maintain a library of proposal content, past project descriptions, resumes, and company qualifications for future use.
- Organize and update industry-specific terminology, writing guidelines, and reference materials.
- Implement version control processes to track document updates and ensure consistency.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Journalism, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in technical writing, proposal writing, or business communications within the engineering, construction, or infrastructure industry.
- Knowledge of government procurement processes, construction contracts, and industry regulations.
- Experience working in A/E/C (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) proposals.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
