Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture or a related field
- Minimum of ten years of total experience in which minimum of five (5) years of experience in preparing technical specifications and documents for rail transit projects
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments
- Extensive experience with all Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to write clearly and professionally
- Ability to produce communications quickly and efficiently
- General knowledge of rail transit agencies’ design standards for architecture, engineering and construction, as well as safety and security regulations such as fixed-rail clearances, level-boarding, and OSHA policies.
Responsibilities
- Develop, revise, and maintain technical specifications and the Manual of Design Criteria
- Develop technical documents to support design, construction, contracts, and operations processes for capital and non-capital projects
- Prepare policy and procedure documentation
- Maintain the most up-to-date versions of technical standards in an orderly manner
- Conduct timely technical reviews of draft documents
- Perform additional assignments as directed by the Task Manager.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) License or Registered Architect (RA)
- Certified Construction Specifier
