Requirements

  • A high degree of electromechanical aptitude is imperative.
  • Ability to work effectively with internal and external customers and work diplomatically in a demanding environment.
  • Be proficient in Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with JD Edwards system is desirable.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, possess a sense of urgency, and handle multiple priorities.
  • Self-direction/ability to make sound decisions independently.
  • The ability to lift sort and rework our materials at the customer’s facility.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Performance Reviews and manage personnel development.
  • Approve associates expense reports in accordance with PP accounting guidelines.
  • Generate monthly activity reports for your team.
  • Manage travel schedules and assign priorities.
  • Assist in non-standard customer requests and questions.
  • Work with the Packaging Systems Manager to strategically align resources geographically to provide a higher level of service at a lower cost and lower response time.
  • Collaboratively work with the Packaging Systems Manager to develop best practices for the group.
  • Assist with mentorship program of high potential candidates within the group.
  • Collaboratively work together with the Packaging System Manager to develop and conduct training programs for customers and internal Printpack groups.
  • Assist in Packaging Institute training.
  • Identify areas for technical development where innovation and process improvement can create new opportunities or improve existing products delivering competitive advantage.
  • Troubleshoot machine/material issues on site.
  • Visit our customer’s facilities as well as their related Co-packers on a regular basis, fielding complaints, disposition of materials, documenting operating conditions of film and competitive activity are required and supporting Technical Service Representatives.
  • Maintain customer feedback system.
  • Prepare appropriate documentation on RMA materials.
  • Maintain customer quality tracking for defective materials.
  • Investigate defective materials identified in plants to determine root cause.
  • Support all ISO related procedures.
  • Support product development, working with Packaging Engineers and Plant Representatives in commercializing and refining specifications and quality procedures for new and existing products.
  • Aide Sales and Development in assessing and ensuring Printpack capabilities meet specific customer performance-based requirements.
  • Coordinate and manage commercialization trials.
  • Provide a hands-on troubleshooting approach to solve customer machine and materials issues.
  • Augment Printpack’s quality support staff by serving as a liaison between Printpack and the Customer.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hold a technical degree, have military experience in a technical field, or have packaging machine exposure.
  • Will have 4 to 6 years of job-related experience.
  • Management experience.
