Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM related discipline, with 5 years of experience, or Associate’s Degree STEM related discipline with a minimum of 8 years of experience in Project Management and Project Controls.
- Experience working with diverse technical stakeholders executing multidisciplinary projects.
- Experience tracking and reporting project budgets and earned value.
- Experience developing and maintaining program execution plans.
- Experience developing and maintaining program quality plans.
- Experience with Project Scheduling software (MS Project, Primavera P6, Smartsheet).
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Ability to perform multiple, concurrent tasks.
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Must be willing to work out of an office located in Niskayuna, NY
- Must be 18 years or older.
Responsibilities
- Manage the daily project workflow and interactions between disciplines and technical subject matter experts.
- Develop work breakdown structures and work packages to meet project objectives.
- Work with technical stakeholders and line management to staff work packages at appropriate levels.
- Own and maintain the project master schedule.
- Work with technical stakeholders and component owners to track component schedules, interfaces, and handoffs.
- Track and coordinate project actions, reporting, and deliverables.
- Track and update project budgets, spend plans, and earned value reporting.
- Support technical staff executing procurements and tracking vendor status, delivery, and quality.
- Own and manage project governance and quality programs.
- Lead tracking of Government Property
- Identify programmatic risks and develop risk mitigation plans.
- Develop project dashboards and standard reporting to communicate status to project team members and stakeholders.
- Partner cross-functionally with stakeholders in finding solution to issues that may derail a project plan.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or equivalent.
- Experience leading diverse project teams to meet project objectives.
- Experience with aerospace product development and design cycles.
- Experience reading technical documentation and drawings.
- Ability to work across all disciplines, functions/levels as part of a team.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Security clearance or ability to obtain a clearance.
