substantial experience in technical program or project management specifically related to automotive safety or autonomous vehicle systems
direct experience applying automotive/AV safety standards such as ISO 26262 (functional safety), ISO 21448 (SOTIF), or UL 4600 (AV safety assurance)
strong understanding of system safety methodologies (e.g., FMEA, FTA, HARA, HAZOP)
ability to clearly prioritize, manage multiple concurrent safety-critical initiatives, and maintain rigorous attention to detail
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent experience with demonstrated safety-critical system expertise

Act as a central point for communicating and coordinating safety-related projects across software, hardware, systems engineering, product, operations, and business teams, focusing heavily on AV safety standards and practices
Lead technical safety reviews, including safety analyses, assessments, and compliance evaluations related to ISO 26262, ISO 21448, UL 4600, and other relevant AV safety standards
Develop and manage detailed safety requirements, defining clear timelines and milestones, proactively identifying and mitigating risks, allocating appropriate resources, and resolving dependencies to ensure safety-critical milestones are met
Synthesize technical safety data and analysis results, clearly communicating status, risks, and mitigation plans regularly to company leadership and key stakeholders
Foster an internal safety culture by ensuring comprehensive integration of safety considerations into product development and operational processes

Prior direct involvement in autonomous vehicle or advanced robotics programs
Experience conducting safety audits, assessments, or certifications related to autonomous or automotive safety-critical systems
Familiarity with safety case development and management
